The Council Bluffs Fire Explorer Post #714The Council Bluffs Fire Department Explorer program was started in January 2000. The post currently has 4 active members, who are fully qualified Explorers who do ride along with the Fire Department. The post meets on the first and third Thursday of each month from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Fire Station #5 located at 3405 South 11th Street. Explorers is a branch of the Boy Scouts of America, although young people both male and female are encourage to participate. Age range is 14-21 years old. Learning about EMS, Firefighting and leadership is the foundation of what the Council Bluffs Fire Department Explorers is all about.
